House rules

We live together so here are our house rules

CHECK IN/OUT
Check in is from 15.00 pm; check out is at 11.00 am at the latest. Please ask the staff if you want a late check out.

ROOMS
In the dorms, please treat your roommates with respect. Use a headset if you want to use your computer or tab- let and do not talk on your phone. Furthermore, please try to be quiet when you enter the room late night or leave early morning.

SHARED/PRIVATE ROOMS
If you are booking beds in a dorm for more than one person, we cannot guarantee that you will be placed in the same room. If you want to be sure to stay in the same room, please book a private room.

BATHROOMS
All of our rooms and dorms share separate toilet and shower facilities. As others might be waiting, please do not take too long.

BED LINEN & TOWEL
Bed linen and towel is not included in the price. You can bring you own bed linen and towel or rent from us. Bed linen for 50 dkk and a towel for 25 dkk – just let us know. It is your responsibility to use bed linen (duvet, pillow, and bed cover), and there is a 150 dkk fee if you do not put on bed linen before using or sleeping in your bed.

YOUR PLACE
In the dorms, use only the bed allocated for you. All beds have a reading light, power sockets, privacy curtain, and a place to keep your belongings. For any reason if you want to move to another bed – let us know first. There is a 500 dkk fee if you use a bed that was not allocated to you.

LOCKERS
In the dorms, each guest has their own locker. We highly recommend that you keep all your belongings locked up. Danhostel Aarhus City is not responsible for any loss of valuables. You can use your own padlock to lock it. If you don’t have a padlock, you can buy one at the front desk. You can also use our secure storage rooms at a cost of 30 dkk.

HOUSEKEEPING
Our housekeepers starts at 09.00 am – please let them do their work.

BREAKFAST
We offer a delicious breakfast buffet from 7.30 am to 10.00 am for 69 dkk. You get a 10% discount if you buy breakfast a day in advance.

PUBLIC AREAS
Our public areas are always open! Our café & reception are open from 07.30 am to 21.00 pm (23.00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays), and we sell snacks, cold and hot drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during these hours. Friends of guests staying at Danhostel Aarhus City are welcome in the café and public areas, but not allowed to go to the dorms, rooms, shower facilities or self-service kitchen.

BALCONIES
There is a fixed fee of 1.000 dkk if you throw things down from our balconies or windows, and you will be expelled from Danhostel Aarhus City immediately. No access to our southern balcony after 22.00 pm due to respect our neighbours.

SMOKING
Danhostel Aarhus City is a 100% non-smoking area and smoking is not allowed inside. All smoking must be done outside the hostel. There is a 1.000 dkk smoking fee if you smoke anywhere within the hostel, and a fee for 6.500 dkk if our highly sensible smoke detectors are activated. Please go outside on our rooftop terraces, or out into the street if you want to smoke.

FOOD & BEVERAGES
You are welcome to make and bring your own food and beverages in our self-service kitchen and other designated areas. However, you are not allowed to consume your own alcohol in the premises of the hostel, so please get your drinks from our café & bar. No food or drinking in the dorms. Please, respect that!
