At Danhostel Aarhus City, we encourage people to meet, and we create the perfect setting for your stay in Aarhus. We often organize social events, hostel fitness, movie nights, board games, study cafes, barbecues, karaoke, live music and more. All events are customized to our hostel and are open to all guests who want to join.
Cheap parking
Parking at Danhostel Aarhus City is both easy, cheap and fast. We have your own parking spaces with direct access to our fantastic hostel. Upon arrival, contact the reception with the registration number of your car. Our parking is rented out according to the “first come, first serve” principle and cannot be reserved in advance. We also offer a discount on parking in the public parking facility of Magasin a two-minute walk from Danhostel Aarhus City.

Free WiFi
Free and super-fast WiFi internet is available throughout our hostel. With a location in the old telephone exchange, we have direct access to the largest cables in the city, and we have secured that our guests can surf unlimited on the Internet. We know how important it is to have a stable and fast Internet connection, and we give you the best conditions for contacting friends and family when you are on holiday or on a business trip in Aarhus.
Rent a city-bike
Jump on your bike and explore the city from a new angle. Aarhus is a beautiful cycling city with lots of established bike paths and roads. Rent a city bike from us and follow one of the many marked bike routes around Aarhus. You will experience the beautiful nature surrounding Aarhus and the many wonderful experiences it provides. You can also join a guided bicycle tour where a local guide will tell you all the facts and stories from Aarhus.

Shared kitchen
We have a well-equipped guest kitchen and dining area that can be used by all guests for free. Prepare your own breakfast, lunch or dinner with the other guests. Our shared guest kitchen is fully equipped and together with your friends, you can be your own master chef. You can keep your ingredients and food in our refrigerators. Pick up the best ingredients in one of the many specialty shops, or food markets, around Aarhus and have a nice dinner in our cozy setting!
Cozy roof-top café
Our roof-top café is the heart and pulse of our hostel. Every morning we offer a delicious breakfast buffet in the café, and you can enjoy the sun while watching the busy pedestrian environment. We also have nice outdoor terraces where you are welcome to settle down with a cup of freshly brewed coffee and have a meal or drink if weather allows you to.
In the evening, the café is quickly transformed into the natural gathering place of the house. Meet locals as well as international globetrotters over a few specialty beers, wines, drinks and other beverages (and at reasonable prices!). Our café at Danhostel Aarhus City is an obvious place to warm up before a city tour into the Aarhus nightlife. You are more than welcome to stay until we close.
Hostel fitness
Do you fancy to burn some extra calories? Please join our hostel fitness along with our sweet staff. Several times a week we transform our café into the fitness area, turn up the music and practice hostel fitness or yoga with our guests. Our fitness is free for all guests and only requires that you turn up in the café with a smile on your face and a T-shirt that can stand a little sweat.
